Permanent Improvements and Quality of Life Updates

This update brings several permanent improvements and quality of life features to improve gameplay balance, rewards, and matchmaking.

Free Play Rotation Slot

A new Free Play game rotation slot has been added. This rotating game mode includes random matchmaking and does not affect Trophy gain or loss. Players can enjoy different modes without worrying about their rank.

Pro Skin Updates

Pro Skin upgrades can now drop from Ranked rewards. Starting mid-March, the Colt Pro Skin will be available as a drop. Future Pro Skins will become available eight months after their Pro Pass season ends.

Pro Pass Progress Boost

Pro Pass progression has been improved. Players now earn 50 PPXP from wins instead of 25. Reaching a new Rank now gives 400 PPXP instead of 200. This makes leveling up your Pro Pass faster and more rewarding.

Shield Visual Effects Update

Different shields now have clear visual effects so players can understand their protection instantly:

  • The white shield gives temporary invulnerability after respawning.
  • The yellow shield reduces incoming damage.
  • Purple blue shield adds extra shield health that slowly decreases over time.

Ranked Championship Notification

Championship notifications have been moved back to the home screen. The notification now clearly points toward Ranked mode for easier access.

Solo Showdown Changes

Solo Showdown will no longer award Trophies if a player disconnects. Players who remain idle for too long in Solo Showdown will now automatically disconnect to prevent unfair advantages.

Brawler Name Update

Glowbert has officially been renamed to Glowy. After befriending Moe, the Brawlers gave him this new friendly nickname.

Mega Quest A B Test

An A B test will run during this update for Mega Quests:

  • 80 percent of players will receive Mega Quests on the standard monthly schedule.
  • 20 percent of players will receive Mega Quests on a weekly schedule.
  • This test will help improve the overall reward experience.

Bug Fixes and Stability Updates

Several bugs have been fixed to improve overall game stability and visuals:

  • Fixed a Ranked Battle Card bug in Null’s Brawl where the wrong Brawler was displayed instead of the selected Ranked Brawler.
  • Fixed a bug where Otis’s first Gadget, Starfish, disappeared after 5 seconds, even when no enemies were nearby in battle.
  • Fixed an issue where projectiles could not exit Mina’s “Windmill” Gadget area when fired from inside it, affecting normal attack mechanics.
  • Fixed a rare bug that could cause a crash on the Ranked loadout screen in Null’s Brawl.
  • Fixed a problem where the slow effect from Squeak’s Gadget “Residue” could stack multiple times and completely freeze players unfairly.
  • Fixed a server error that occurred when Sam picked up his Knuckle Busters during Hypercharge mode.
  • Fixed missing outer visual effects on 8-Bit’s Super “Damage Booster” when using the “Plugged In” Star Power.
  • Fixed a Shop bug where some Null’s Brawl players saw offers grayed out and were unable to complete purchases.
